Welcome to Double Helix Nigerian Dwarf Goats
Springfield, Oregon
What's not to like about the very popular Nigerian Dwarf goat? As a dairy animal, they are known for milk that is rich and sweet, averaging the highest butterfat of the dairy breeds, at around 6%. Their small size, usually no more than 85 pounds, and gentle disposition make them excellent family pets. Everything they need, from housing, to pasture, to food is much smaller than full-size goat breeds. In exchange for good care, these little goats will give you milk, entertainment, and remove your excess brush while improving your pasture. It's no wonder that their popularity continues to soar.

About Us
Improving Each Generation
Thank you for viewing our page. We are located in the pretty Camp Creek Valley, near Springfield, Oregon. We'd be delighted to hear from you!
In 2015, the time was finally right to take our goat hobby to the next level. We chose to focus on the Nigerian Dwarf breed with the goal to improve each generation in type and production through selective breeding and herd management. We truly believe that healthy, productive, "well put together" goats have a lot to offer the world, so improving each generation is bigger than a hobby.
Our herd is registered with ADGA, the American Dairy Goat Association. We participate in Linear Appraisal, ADGA Plus, and Dairy Herd Improvement Registry, which give us valuable objective feedback to guide our breeding decisions. We enjoy showing, but travel time limits us to three or four each year. Seeing each generation of our herd improve has been very rewarding. It takes a lot of time and work to reach our goals, but we are always looking forward to what the next generation may bring.
